Learn how the pre-production process flows and how to provide timely, consolidated feedback on service materials. This guide will walk you through each stage of the pre-production workflow.
In this article, we will review:
Pre-Production Process Overview
Once your project is matched with a Maker, they will begin work on your pre-production service materials (e.g., scripts, talent, music options.). Youโll have the opportunity to review and provide input before anything goes into production.
๐ Standard Workflow
Hereโs how the pre-production process typically unfolds:
1. Maker Begins Working on Services
The Maker creates the required service materials for your project.
2. Services Are Shared for Your Review
Youโll receive a notification when your services are ready.
3. Brand Reviews & Provides Feedback
Open the service item and leave your feedback in the Brand Feedback section.
4. Request Changes (If Needed)
If you have edits, select Request Changes and submit your notes.
5. Maker Revises & Resubmits
The Maker incorporates your feedback and shares an updated version.
6. Approve Services
Once the materials meet your expectations, mark the service as Approved.
After all services are approved, your project will move into production.
Help ensure a smooth pre-production phase by following these best practices:
โ Ship your product as early as possible to ensure on-time delivery before shoot day.
โ Confirm all service materials align with your brand guidelines.
โ Approve services at least 48 hours before the shoot to avoid delays.
๐ How to Provide Brand Feedback
You can leave feedback on each pre-production service directly within the platform.
To ensure your feedback is helpful and easy to act on:
Leave all notes in the Brand Feedback section of the respective service.
Be specific and reference any relevant details or brand guidelines.
Make sure feedback is consolidated from all stakeholders before submitting.
Submit your notes in a timely manner to keep things moving forward.
๐ก Note: Feedback should be succinct and unified, so your Maker can confidently implement it without confusion.
Service Status
Your service status reflects the status of your included services.
No Action Needed: Service does not need review.
Not Started: Waiting on your Maker to share their proposal for this service.
Ready for Review: Services are ready for your review.
Changes sent to Maker: You have provided feedback to the Maker, and they are editing.
Completed: You have approved all pre-production services.
