Overview
Once your project is matched with a Video Professional, they will begin work on your pre-production service materials (e.g., scripts, talent, music options.). You’ll have the opportunity to review and provide input before anything goes into production. This guide will walk you through each stage of the pre-production workflow.
How It Works
Here’s how the pre-production process typically unfolds:
1. Video Pro Starts Services
Your video pro will begin working on pre-production services listed in your project brief.
2. Review Services
As services are uploaded, you’ll review them in the platform. You will receive an in-app and email notification when your pre-production services are ready for your review.
3. Leave Feedback
Open the pre-production service and leave your feedback in the Brand Feedback section. To request feedback, select 'Request Changes' and Submit.
4. Review Revisions
Your Video Pro will revise and resubmit based on your feedback. You can go through up to three rounds of revisions per service.
6. Approve Services
Once the materials meet your expectations, mark the service as Approved.
After all services are approved, your project will automatically move into pre-production complete.
Help ensure a smooth pre-production phase by following these best practices:
✅ Ship your product as early as possible to ensure on-time delivery before shoot day.
✅ Confirm all service materials align with your brand guidelines.
✅ Approve services at least 48 hours before the shoot to avoid delays.
How to Provide Brand Feedback
You can leave feedback on each pre-production service directly within the platform.
To ensure your feedback is helpful and easy to act on:
Leave all notes in the Brand Feedback section of the respective service.
Be specific and reference any relevant details or brand guidelines.
Make sure feedback is consolidated from all stakeholders before submitting.
Submit your notes in a timely manner to keep things moving forward.
Service Status
Your service status reflects the status of your included services.
No Action Needed: Service does not need review.
Not Started: Waiting on your video pro to share their proposal for this service.
Ready for Review: Services are ready for your review.
Changes sent to Video Pro: You have provided feedback to the video pro, and they are editing.
Completed: You have approved all pre-production services.
