Understanding the Pre-Production Process

Before any filming or editing begins, your project will go through pre-production – the planning phase where key creative and logistical decisions are made. Your Maker will prep all pre-production services such as concepts, scripts, music or voiceover options, etc. based on your brief. You’ll get a chance to review and approve everything before production starts.

🎬 What Happens During Pre-Production?

Once your project is matched with a Maker:

  1. The Maker gets started on pre-production work.

  2. You’ll be notified when items are ready for your review.

  3. You provide feedback or approve them to move forward.

After everything is approved, your project heads into production.

🔄 Your Role in the Process

During pre-production, you will:

  • Review all service materials such as scripts, talent, music, etc.

  • Leave feedback notes on services (if applicable)

  • Approve services to keep the project moving

💡Tip: Be sure to gather all stakeholder input before submitting feedback to avoid delays.

🕒 Staying On Schedule

A few simple tips to keep things on track:

  • Review and approve materials quickly

  • Ship any required products early (if applicable)

  • Try to finalize everything at least 48 hours before the shoot (if applicable)

✅ What’s Next?

Once all services are approved, pre-production will complete and your project moves into production (where the real magic begins ✨).
